Rich Botts is the Director of Operations at Eagle, a global leader in the design and manufacture of production and automation equipment for the lead-acid battery industry. In this role, Rich guides Eagle’s manufacturing operations while supporting the company’s continued focus on innovation, quality, and customer success.
Prior to joining Eagle, Rich built a career spanning more than three decades in lead-acid battery manufacturing and maintenance, most recently serving at Hammond Lead Products and previously at Pratt Industries. Throughout his career, he led maintenance, operations, and process development teams, developing a deep understanding of the equipment, processes, and people that keep production running efficiently.
Rich’s technical background includes extensive hands-on experience with Barton oxide systems, ball mills, red lead and litharge production, combustion systems, melt pots, hammer mills, and both mechanical and pneumatic material handling systems. He also holds technical certifications in welding and electrical work, giving him a practical, ground-level perspective that complements his leadership experience.
